As part of judicial transformation through the integration of technology and information, e-Court is recognized as an innovation that aligns with contemporary legal advancements. e-Court enhances accessibility for the public while adhering to the principles of simplicity, efficiency, and affordability in judicial processes. Through e-Court, case registration, payment of court fees, summons issuance, and hearings are conducted electronically. This study argues that to further advance the ongoing transformation, the incorporation of e-nazegeling for documentary evidence within the e-Court system is essential to facilitate case registration for litigants. This study utilises a doctrinal research methodology by collecting and analyzing primary data from Indonesian legislation and statutory. In addition, this study also examines secondary data from relevant literature regarding e-Court, e-nazegeling, and documentary evidence, including textbooks and journal articles. The findings indicate that the practice of nazegeling for documentary evidence has been a regulated aspect of Indonesia’s legal system since 1921 and has since evolved to incorporate e-nazegeling. While challenges may arise in the incorporation of e-nazegeling into the e-Court, there are also significant opportunities to enhance accessibility for justice seekers by integrating e-nazegeling as a fundamental component of e-Court.
